WHISKY FOR LIFE
There's no substitute for good taste
My passion for single malt whiskeys began in the mid-1990s at a bar in Frankfurt am Main.
After trying a few bourbon whiskeys at first, I tried one single malt—and soon many more (the ones I could afford back then). I was hooked almost immediately, and my absolute favorite drink was set in stone (even though I really do like a lot of different drinks). I don’t think that’s ever going to change.

Naturally, my first visits to whisky fairs followed, and that’s how it all got started. Together with a friend, I bought my first cask from Bruichladdich without ever having been there. In fact, I visited Scotland for the first time in 2010—and ended up on Islay right away.
A few years later, I wanted to make a career change and focus more on this luxury beverage that I loved so much. And so the idea was born to open my own whiskey shop with everything that goes with it: brick-and-mortar, online, tastings, trade shows, etc. So I turned my back on my previous career and opened WHISKY FOR LIFE in mid-July 2015 in the heart of Frankfurt, in the heart of Europe!
Here, I’m finally completely in my element, and I want to share my joy and enthusiasm with as many wonderful food lovers as possible. Thank you so much for visiting my site!
